…is an award-winning actor, writer, director, producer, and filmmaker based in New York City.
His production company, Label Maker Media, recently produced two projects: a proof-of-concept for a TV comedy pilot, PRO BONO MEANS FREE, and SILLY GIRL, a charming, heart-warming short film. For both, Josh served as writer and director, in addition to playing a lead role in SILLY GIRL.
SILLY GIRL has been as an Official Selection for the Chelsea Film Festival (10th Anniversary), NJ Web Fest, LA Web Fest, Austin Comedy Film Festival, Adirondack Film Festival, and Jacksonville Film Festival and was a Semi-Finalist at Flickers’ Rhode Island International Film Festival.
The film was also nominated for five awards at the NJ Web Fest, including Best Director and Best Overall Short Film and won the award for Best On-Screen Chemistry for Josh and his costar. The film was also nominated for Best Romantic Comedy Film at the Austin Comedy Film Festival.
PRO BONO MEANS FREE has also been nominated for Best Comedy Series Episode at the Austin Comedy Film Festival.
Josh’s half-hour TV comedy pilot, GROUP, was selected as a Finalist in the ScreenCraft Screenwriting Fellowship 2019, a Quarterfinalist in the ScreenCraft Pilot Launch TV Script Contest, a Quarterfinalist in the ScreenCraft Fellowship 2020, and was an Official Selection for Coverfly’s Spring 2020 Pitch Week. His hour-long dramedy, GOOD ENOUGH, was also recognized as a Finalist in the WeScreenplay TV Contest and Quarterfinalist in the ScreenCraft Comedy Contest.
Josh most recently appeared in the award-winning short film Hey Stranger which premiered at the Rhode Island International Film Festival. He has worked on shows with ABC, HBO, and Showtime, is a proud member of Actor’s Equity, and holds a degree in Vocal Performance with an emphasis in Composition and Arranging.
Currently Josh is penning the latest draft of an Untitled Romantic Comedy feature film. After being workshopped in New York City and Nashville, the project has garnered the interest of an A-list casting director and a Grammy nominated singer-songwriter to be attached.
